A family winery since 1923 and several generations. The founder, Vicente Garrido, made his first wine in 1923 and his son Eduardo Garrido in 1945. The vinification has been completely made on the winery. All this time we have been in business under the family ownership. Since that year, my father Eduardo Garrido managed the state, then, myself Amelia Garrido together with my father, have decided to keep the legacy and market the production around many countries. Increases and modernization are being made little by little. It is a work family with a will and well determined tasks. The Eduardo Garrido Wine Cellar is located in Abalos, (La Rioja), Spain, at the foot of the Sierra de Cantabria Mountains in the heart of Rioja Alta. For over 500 years, Abalos and its surroundings have been home to the best quality vineyards and wines in Spain. Eduardo Garrido, the proprietor and winemaker, has maintained the deep traditions and abiding sprit of the family wine cellar of the Rioja.
