The passion and hard work of the Hernández de Mercado family from Segovia made their winemaking dream come true in 1985, with the creation of Bodega Marqués de Velilla.
The goal of Bodega Marqués de Velilla is to make wines with a soul and a unique personality; top-quality wines, the product of the land and the men who cultivate it. We have 150 hectares of our own vineyards and a winery equipped with the latest technology, allowing us to use the most appropriate vinification techniques for each occasion. We successfully combine the wisdom of traditional methods and the effectiveness of tools provided by modern oenology. The wines made at Marqués de Velilla are deep, complex, red wines that reflect the personality and character of the land whence they come.
