Bodegas Obergo is a family project located at the highest part of Somontano. In the most mountainous and northern part of the designation of origin, the Garnacha has known how to resist renovation times in unique and hidden places. Obergo rescues the Valle de Secastilla tradition by Grenache vinegrowing, recovering old vineyards and experimenting with other varieties. Bodegas Obergo is located in the hillside of the Sierra de Ubiergo, beholding from a podium the whole Valle de Secastilla, in the aragonese pyrenees 30 km from Barbastro. The valley, stuck between the Rivers Ésera and Cinca, went unnoticed by French winemakers who came to Somontano during the XIX century. Thus, the area preserved the Garnacha as the native variety.
