Cascina Giambolino keeps and preserves a family agricultural tradition. The cultivated land is about 50 hectares wide, subdivided into vineyards, forage and cereal crops. Grapes, obtained from skillful work of expert hands in our vineyards, are carefully vinified, giving life to many wine labels. Forage and cereals are used for reared animals feed ration (Piedmont bovines and swine). Cuts of meat are prepared and sold at our farm shop, where also our cold cuts are available: salame, prosciutto cotto, carne salata and many others. Here you can buy bottled wines, Colli Tortonesi DOC: Barbera, Croatina, Dolcetto, Cortese and Derthona Timorasso. From 2020, inside the farm complex as well, the new winery has been opened, where it is possibile to taste wines and know wine making techniques. Cascina Giambolino cultivates 10 hectares of vineyards, situated in Villaromagnano municipality. About 2 hectares are located in Strada Rampìna o Piasèra, a hillside awarded with Unesco mention, due to the beauty and care of the landscape, while the other land is over the hill facing Castellania municipality, the famous italian cyclist Fausto Coppi birthplace. The principal grape varieties are Barbera and Timorasso, but also other excellent vines, as Croatina, Dolcetto, Favorita and Cortese are successfully grown in our vineyards.
