Domaine Frédéric Mabileau

Based in Saint Nicolas de Bourgueil, on the borders of Touraine and Anjou region, we are a family-owned estate nested in the Loire Riverbed.

We work 28 ha of land, planted mostly with Cabernet Franc, that has been in the family for several generation.

Our vineyard possesses 3 different terroirs: Sand and Gravels, Clay and Gravel, Clay and Limestone.

As we also love the Chenin Blanc, we planted a parcel close to St Nicolas de Bourgueil 15 years ago. This way we are now able to propose 2 wines on this grape variety. We also have a project with planted Chenin on a beautiful limestone hill overhanging the Loire et the Vienne confluence.

The vine growing on the estate is made without using any pesticides, weedkiller or insecticide since 2005. Every year, after the harvest, we sow a vegetal cover that aim to encourage the biodiversity with a positive impact on the soil and the grapes.

The Organic and Biodynamic certification (in 2007 and 2018) then confirmed our environmental practices.
