Feudo Gagliardi Winery, of the Vozzo family, was born at beginning of 70’s and it’s located in Calabria, on the Jonian sea, in the inland of high Locride, down the slopes of the old Caulonia town, in the middle of the old Magna Grecia civilization, just in the Enotri’s land, where the wine is archeology and culture. Several old millstones discoveries, sunken in the stone, show the Locride viticulture vocation. In these stripes of land, kissed by the sun, viticulture is a real tradition for the Vozzo family. It is also passion and competence handed down through three generations. Viticultural heritage of Feudo Gagliardi company is made of 6 hectares vineyards, where we cultivate the most important native Calabrian wine grapes; they allow us to get high quality and property wines ( red wines as Calabrese nero, Gaglioppo, Greco nero and Magliocco) and (Mantonico, Greco bianco, Insolia, Malvasia) as white wines. In the last decade we have been spending a lot in viticulture. We recovered the oldest vineyards, we implanted new, and we built a new and more modern wine cellar. It ensures the short chain, characterized by a limited passages in production, vinification, and finally in bottling. Feudo Gagliardi vineyards are situated in the Bivongi DOP and IGP Locride areas and are cultivated with the organic agriculture method, by joining tradition and the most modern and farming techniques, respecting the environment and the final product. 1) "CASTRUM VETUS" LOCRIDE IGP ROSSO (RED) Wine made from organically grown grapes in the Locride-Calabria-South Italy area GRAPES: Calabrese N. 50%, Greco N. 20%, Magliocco 20%, Cabernet S. 10% ALCOHOL CONTENT: 14-14,50 % vol.
