In the heart of Valpolicella Classica, 

not far from the center of Negrar Di Valpolicella, stands the Antica Corte Forlago (Ancient Corte Forlago), in the historical district where the Franchini family has been passionately pursuing its wine tradition for generations. Over the centuries, the art of Italian craftsmanship has deeply shaped this land leaving lasting traces of ancient times, such as the Roman mosaic floor (ca. 200 AC) recently found under some vineyards around the estate. The estate and the vineyards extend over a hilly surface of about 5 hectares, at an altitude ranging from 280 up to 500 meters above sea level.

 Every phase in the winemaking is carefully carried out with the clear aim of achieving a wine that fully expresses our “terroir”. Today the production of our wines is the result of a perfect balance between ancient craftsmanship and modern techniques. Passion, creativity and wisdom are skilfully combined to create an exclusive product, capable to convey unique emotions. Our annual production is limited to 20.000-25.000 bottles, the quantity we can achieve with the grapes coming uniquely from the 5 hectares of the family estate. This choice wants to ensure the highest quality possible for an exclusive and elegant wine. Our wines express the bond between people and their land, embodying the soul and experience of the Franchini family.




Nel cuore della Valpolicella Classica, 

a pochi passi dal paese di Negrar di Valpolicella, sorge l’Antica Corte Forlago, situata all’interno della contrada storica che risale al 1460. Queste tradizioni di origine millenaria giungono a noi oggi anche attraverso le tracce che il tempo ha lasciato sul territorio, come i mosaici di epoca romana, risalenti al III secolo D.C., ritrovati recentemente sotto i vigneti intorno alla proprietà della famiglia. I poderi si estendono su una superficie collinare di circa 5 ettari ad un’altitudine che va dai 280 metri s.l.m. fino a 500 metri s.l.m. 

Tutte le fasi di vinificazione artigianale sono condotte nell’ottica di ottenere un vino che esprima al massimo il “terroir”. Le tecniche applicate nella produzione nascono da un perfetto equilibrio tra le lavorazioni antiche e le continue ricerche e sperimentazioni moderne. Un uso sapiente di passione e creatività porta alla creazione di un vino unico in grado di regalare emozioni. L’esclusività dei nostri vini è frutto di una produzione limitata e attenta, da cui nascono ogni anno circa 20000-25000 bottiglie di alta qualità, ottenute unicamente utilizzando le migliori uve dei nostri vigneti. I nostri vini racchiudono in sé l’anima e l’esperienza della famiglia Franchini e raccontano la storia, le persone e il loro vivo legame con la terra.
