The J. Oppmann sparkling wine cellar was founded in 1865 by Josef Oppmann. The art of sparkling
wine production has become Josef Oppmann in the Champagne cellars. In a short time, his winery
became one of the top addresses in Germany. Sparkling wine from J. Oppmann receives high awards
at several World exhibitions, for example in Vienna in 1871. At that time, 100,000 bottles were
already sold annually.
Even before the turn of the century, the company was divided into a public limited company.
Quality and tradition have been the key factors in the oldest Bavarian sparkling wine cellars are very
important. "Sparkling wine from the best" is the motto of the Election slogan that sums up the
company philosophy of J. Oppmann.
J. Oppmann has always cultivated a close relationship with winegrowers and wineries. The wines are
directly from the winegrower. All wines are tasted on site and personally selected.
The product range of the house includes noble vintage sparkling wines, noble cuvées - sparkling wine
compositions made of noble wines, which show the whole ability of the cellar master - as well as
young sparkling Seccos and refreshing mix drinks.

Die Sektkellerei J. Oppmann wurde 1865 von Josef Oppmann, der am 17. Oktober 1843 geboren wurde, gegründet.
Sein Vater Ludwig Oppmann, war ausgebildeter Weinfachmann. Er war Wein-Prüfer im Dienste des Königshauses.
Josef Oppmann erlernte die Geheimnisse der Sektherstellung in den Kellern der Champagne. Er muss ein Mann mit großem Willen und außergewöhnlichen Fähigkeiten gewesen sein, da er sein eigenes Unternehmen bereits im jungen Alter von 23 Jahren gründete. Seine Kellerei wurde innerhalb kürzester Zeit zu einer der Top-Adressen in Deutschland. Traditionelle Flaschengärsekte der Marke Oppmann erhielten hohe Auszeichnungen bei mehreren Weltmessen, wie 1871 in Wien.
