Located in Monterrei, southeast of Galicia, Terras do Cigarrón was born from the union of 20 families in 2002. The base of this union: the Godello grape. The winery has grown over the years being its inclusion in the Bodegas Martín Códax group in 2008 its turning point. The winery has small plots in the valley but also has a high-altitude vineyard called Vilardevós (81 ha), unique in Galicia, which allows to obtain different grape profiles to produce very different single varietals. The climate is Atlantic with a continental inclination which changes drastically from day to night. The sandy loam soils and different heights of the vineyards (between 400 -700m) provide our godellos with a characteristic freshness and atlanticity.
