Tenuta La Ghiaia

Tenuta La Ghiaia is a sustainable winery located in a strip of land between Cinque Terre villages (Liguria – Italy) and Carrara marble caves area, in Colli di Luni Doc district. La Ghiaia Estate maintains the integrity of the original site:the vineyards, cultivated with organic systems, are planted with autocton varieties as Vermentino, Sangiovese, Vermentino Nero Massaretta, Malvasia Bianca and Albarola for wines that “scent of sea”.

The core of the vineyard is over 40 years old; a fundamental characteristic to express in the wine the deep tension that holds together the vine land: old vines have roots in great depths and so they are in contact with the main elements of the soil which enhanched in the glass. For this reason we don't use chemical treatments (pesticides) on the soil and on the plants. 

Our wines  contains in  a glass passion ,style and tradition in an equilibrium between land and sea.
