In the heart of Umbria,Tenuta San Rocco rises up on the hills facing TODI. The centuries old county residence is home to San Rocco Estate: a farm,vinyard and farmhouse inn. The goal of this family-run business is to produce and obtain excellence in both the wine and gastronomic offering guest are served at the inn. Modern wine making technologies, the result of the rofessionalism and passion of Dr. Giovanni Perni, general manager, ensure the obtainment of prestigious wines in which the aromas of the fruit stand out,featuring a balanced,well rounded taste. The varietis of grape grown on the property include Sangiovese grosso, Merlot, Petit Verdot red grape in addition to Grechetto di Todi, Viognier and White Muscat. The wine cellar is located in a building adjacent to the Villa and equipped with state-of-the art technologies for vinification, and bottling. The ground floor and the basament of the Villa house the old cellar where the wines are aged in oak barrels and special cement barrels in shape of an egg.
