My family has been making wine for over fifty years. It all began with grandfather Guglielmo nicknamed "il Nappo", determined to turn his family's passion for wine into a real business. So it was that in the 1960s he bought a parcel of land particularly suited to create his company. But passions, as we know, follow the thread of history and are transmitted from generation to generation: from grandfather Nappo to his son Enrico and from him to his grandson Pietro. It is the latter that makes the company take a good leap forward, renewing it in every area, while following the thread of tradition. And since the good stories don't end, Riccardo, great-grandson of grandfather Nappo, has been working in the cellar for a few years to revive an authentic family passion. The vineyards of the farm that produces "Terre dei Nappi" are located on the hills around Bevagna. The 10 hectares of vineyards rest on a calcareous - clayey soil, well exposed, characterized by a mild and breezy climate that avoids stagnant humidity. The vineyards are located halfway up the hill, just below the majestic Madonna delle Grazie sanctuary, along the ancient course of the Via Flaminia, towards Bevagna. We work our vineyards with the aid of mechanical means, in full respect of nature, without chemical weeding. The grapes are harvested exclusively by hand, in this way a first selected and high quality raw material . The refinement for the red montefalco and sagrantino takes place in wooden barrels; In this way well-structured wines are obtained, with an elegant and harmonious flavor.
