Amarone della Valpolicella
Description
Amarone is that wine made from specially-selected, very ripe grapes that dry indoors for several months to concentrate their flavors and structural components, so that the wine from that concentrated juice is big, rich, concentrated and complex.
Tasting Profile:
The colour is a full garnet red, the characteristic aroma of spices is accentuated. The flavor on the palate is full, warm and mellow.
Winemaking, Refining, Ageing:
24/36 months in tonneau, 12 months in bottle.
Food Pairing:
Strongly suggested to pair with red meat, game, aged cheeses. Perfect also at the end of the meal. It is a wine of complexity and refinement, in its best examples.
