It is a classic Merlot-based Claret from the right bank of the Gironde .,from AOC FRONSAC ,
which is within the family of other Libournais wines such as Saint Emilion and Pomerol only 5 miles away .
35 years old Merlot grapes within an enclosed site surrounding Chateau Mayne- Vieil itself.
Very traditional wine -making and partly aged in barrels.

This smooth, black-fruit-flavored wine is rich in softening tannins. Acidity and spice from wood aging come through as does the wine's potential. Drink fro (Roger Voss -WINE-ENTHUSIAST)

Serve at room temperature  with classic Sunday roast,grilled meats from the barbecue or a casserole in winter.
