Erdener Treppchen Riesling Feinherb
Description
The Erdener Treppchen is a small single vineyard and grows across the river on the opposite side from Erden. The name comes from the more than 200 steps counting stairway in the vineyard. The Treppchen faces south and the many cliffs surrounding the vineyard create a very special microclimate. The soil is medium-deep and consists mainly of stony, weathered slate. The Riesling from here is fine, noble & classy with good fruitiness and elegance.
It has a refreshing and irrepressible aroma that exudes significant power, emerging with the bouquet of pear and white peach. The taste is marked by a high acidity, but the fruity part makes it soft and easy aproachable.
The Treppchen feinherb is an ideal partner for light seafood. Try it with fried calamari and aioli mayonaise.
