Description
GAGLIERNO IS THE NAME OF THE HILL FROM WHICH THE WINE IS PRODUCED
MANUAL HARVESTING IN CRATES, THE GRAPES ARE DESTEMBLED, CRUSHED AND IMMEDIATELY
PRESSED WITH A TRADITIONAL VERTICAL PRESS
THE MUST IS LEFT TO DECANT 24 HOURS IN A STEEL TANK AND SUBSEQUENTLY PUT IN BARREL WHERE IT
FERMENTES SPONTANEOUSLY AND MATURES ON ITS LEES FOR 12 MONTHS
AFTER A SHORT PASSAGE OF 3 MONTHS IN STEEL, THE WINE IS BOTTLED WITHOUT ANY FILTRATION
PRACTICE AND CONTINUES ITS REFINING FOR ANOTHER 6 MONTHS.
Bright golden yellow. Clear and consistent.
Rich and complex nose, fruity of peach and yellow melon with hints of exotic fruit.
Aromatic herbs, such as marjoram and sage, hints of nutmeg and sweet almond and the
alcoholic exuberance do not hide a mineral and iodized background, which we
immediately find in tasting.
The sip is full and pulpy, balanced by a vibrant acidity and a savory note that collects
tactile sensations, creating a taste-olfactory continuum that expands into intense
aromatic persistence.
