Cantina Terribile born in July 2014 in the wonderful Salento, Puglia, Italy. This small vineyard, of about two and a half hectares, which produces only PRIMITIVO DI MANDURIA, is characterized by bush vines, in italian language "ALBERELLO", that are about 20 years old.
The soil is made up of red soil, carparo (typical Lecce stone) and rock that contribute to obtain a strong character wine. The excellent sun exposure, the cooling breeze from Ionian Sea and Mediterranean climate give minerality and right acidity typical of the PRIMITIVO "TERRIBILE".
The harvest is made around mid-August, mostly from female job. It is manual and in boxes. The yield is rather low, about one kg per plant precisely to obtain the quality of the grapes itself.
