Description
V de Mas Igneus is a wine inspired by one of Ornella and Jerôme's daughters: Valentina, who gives the name and meaning to the wine. The name Valentina means vitality, bravery, strength, courage... among others, and in part, that is what this wine is trying to express.
V de Mas Igneus is made from 63% red and 37% white varieties, cultivated in two different and opposite plots, the warmest and the coolest of the vineyard. As a result, the red grapes were harvested 38 days before the white ones.
10% of the must was fermented in oak barrels of 400L to increase the complexity of the nose and balance the vivacity of the mouth.
After alcoholic fermentation, it undergoes a rearing with its lees, the finest, in the same containers. The benefit of this method of ageing is to naturally protect the wines from oxidation as well as to bring density in the mouth.
