Description
2014 mild, wet winter was followed by a very dry spring which helped counterbal-ance vines vigor and reduce fungal risk. We enjoyed a fresh, but, again, very dry summer, specially August, leading our grapes to optimum ripeness, both technical and phenolic, by mid September.
In two early sunny mornings 4,550 kg of beautiful Mencía grapes were hand picked. After selection, they were destemmed and fermented in concrete cuves. Wine was aged in French oak barrels for 12 months.
TASTING NOTES
Medium red colour. Delicate aromas of cherry and hawthorn tree blossom, black-berries, and fresh, spicy, fennel and thyme. Superb drinkability due to its balance, subtlety and velvety tannins.
