Vinos del Viento Aventura
Description
Aventura is a new adventure for winemaker Michael Cooper. He has searched out "vines hunter" once again amazing old vines of native Spanish varietals. This time in the D.O. Campo de Borja. The vineyards are all old vine bush vines and they are (like all Vinos del Viento) dry-farmed and at high altitud (650m.) All the vineyards are harvested manually and separately and then Michael ferments them separately and then blends them together in an adventurous, fresh and spicy way. There is no wine in Spain that is so good, so drinkable (Glu Glu Glu) and so affordable! James Suckling gave it 91 points saying: "Aromas of violets, white pepper and blueberries with some sappy notes, as well as blackberries. The palate has a very fresh, lively and fleshy core of blueberries and blackberries with good richness, depth and build into the flavorful, long finish. Drink or hold."
We agree with James. This is your daily drinker. Think a 13% alcohol Saint-Joseph meets Aragón, the origin! LOVE IT!
