CANTINE GULINO

A historical winery, surrounded by vineyards and a lush garden, near the sea: we have been winemakers in Sicily for generations since 1793.
With pride and dedication we cultivate the historical vines of the area: Nero d'Avola, Albanello and Moscato of Siracusa.
On the road from Siracusa to the coast, stands our winery, once belonged to the architect Pompeo Picherali.
Mix of flavors and scents of the fertile southeastern Sicily, our wines are the typical expression of Siracusa, of its cultural, food and wine traditions.
The winery has about 15 hectares of vineyards in the heart of the "Val di Noto", between Siracusa, Pachino and Ispica.
In Siracusa, this lands was cultivated with vines and "raised in Moscato" already in 1600.
The walk through the vineyards is an exciting journey to discover the origin of our wine excellences and our historical, cultural and gastronomic heritage: we grow historical and typical vines of Syracuse: Nero d'Avola, Moscato di Siracusa and Albanello, confirming the deep connection to our territory.
Inside the winery, there is an ancient millstone, where grapes were trod in the past, the remains of an ancient press for the grape and the barrel room for the red wine Nero d'Avola.
