Arajs, Roero Arneis d.o.c.g
Description
Arneis is an ancient white grape variety cultivated since 1400 in the Roero region.
Today, it is the Piedmontese white wine par excellence, awarded the docg appellation in 2004.
From a single vineyard of 0.45 hectares at 270 meters above sea level, grapes are harvested by hand in small containers, in the coolest hours of the day. After soft pressing, grapes are fermented in stainless steel containers; the wine then rests for five months on the yeasts.
Intense straw yellow color. Delicate bouquet with notes of exotic fruits, ripe pear and acacia honey. In the mouth it is soft, with a pleasant freshness in the aftertaste.
Ideal with fish appetizers, light first courses, risotto, asparagus. Thanks to its flavor, it also goes well with oriental cuisine. First vintage.
