Jaiet, Langhe d.o.c Favorita
Description
Favorita is a Piedmontese grape variety of which there are traces in Piedmont since 1600; the name of this grape means “favourite”. The Favorita vine derives from Vermentino.
Today, Favorita is an elegant, expressive niche wine with a good aromatic persistence.
Grapes are harvested by hand in small containers, in the coolest hours of the day. After soft pressing, grapes are fermented in stainless steel containers; the wine then rests for five months on the yeasts.
Straw yellow color with greenish reflections. Intense and fruity bouquet with notes of white flowers, peach and frog apple. In the mouth it is fresh, with a pleasant complexity in the aftertaste.
Great as an aperitif, with sushi and light fish preparations. This is the second vintage of this wine, not yet rated
