BARBERA D'ALBA SUPERIORE DOC "Livertin"
The selection of Barbera vineyards with the best exposure.
Obtained from a long maceration on the skins of about 20 days, then vinified in steel and finally aged for 12 months in Slavonian oak barrels.
Broad, fresh and fruity, intense aroma, with light notes of vanilla at the end, cherry and berries, but also notes of undergrowth, liquorice and cocoa.
Soft, austere, elegant, improving over time; with good bottle aging (at least 2 years after bottling) the acidity reaches greater balance.
It pairs perfectly with very tasty general dishes. Excellent with pasta first courses with game ragout and braised or grilled red meats and mature cheeses. Also perfect as an aperitif glass with appetizers and cold cuts.
