Description
The Deer is our Chianti Classico obtained from Sangiovese grapes and a small quantity of Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. The grapes used are harvested in our company cru “Vigna i Greppi” – one of the highest vineyards in the Chianti Classico area – located in Montegrossi at an altitude of 670 metres above sea level in the municipality of Gaiole in Chianti. Our Chianti Classico ferments in stainless steel, it ages for one year in oak barrels, and then ages for another whole year in bottles. Its colour is almost clear ruby red. This wine has hints of violet and red fruits, and it is also slightly spiced on the nose; while it is round, broad and persistent in the mouth. The Deer is an elegant, airy wine, easy to drink. A precious wine that will add a touch of elegance to any special occasions.
