Château Franc Patarabet AOP Saint-Emilion Grand Cru
Description
It displays a profound ruby color. The nose is ripe with nice and straight aromas of stone fruits. The palate is immediately flavorful with a complexity resulting from a carefully managed wine making process. It is wonderful and shining vintage ready to enjoy.
This is our classic Saint Emilion Grand Cru vintage 100% Merlot based and matured in oak barrels, renewed by third, during approximately twelve months. The farming methods of Franc Patarabet are HVE3 certified. Quality and authenticity are our on-going focus.
The Château Franc Patarabet was founded in 1845 by the blacksmith of Saint-Emilion, and it has been owned by the Faure-Barraud family for 6 generations. We produce 2 “Saint Emilion Grand Cru” AOP (i.e., protected designation of origin) wines. The estate is located right down the hill of Saint-Emilion, surrounded by prestigious estates (Canon La Gaffelière, Chante Alouette, Clos Badon, Pavie). The soil is mostly clay-sand (north lot) and sand (south lot).
