MUEDRA 2016 SPANISH OAK AGING
Description
AO: Vinos de la Tierra de Castilla y León.
THE VINES: bush-trained vineyard. Planted in 1989 in “La Almendrera” land, a few meters away from the Duero river, in Tordesillas
SOILS: gravel and clay.
AGING: 12 Months in Spanish oak. All the aging (in barrels and in bottles) is done in our subterranean winery, where the wine has the optimal conditions of light, temperature and humidity.
TASTING: Muedra has a ruby color with a purple rim, of a medium-hight intensity.
The aroma is very expressive and elegant. Muedra displays black fruit aromas like blackcurrant and plum. It also offers licorice and toasted wood notes. Overall, it is perceived a sweet aroma of vanilla, cacao and cedar.
It is a round and wide wine with a good structure. The wine is smooth and gentle at first, but it becomes more intense as it moves through the palate.
The entire set culminates in a final prolonged and complex, characterized by cherry, licorice and noble wood aroma sensations in the nose.
