Description
Nizza is produced in a small area of 18 municipalities surrounding Nizza Monferrato - Asti.
Production regulations set very strict requirements from the growing and the oenological point of view, in order to keep high quality standards. With the 2000 harvest Nizza was acknowledged as a subzone of Barbera d’Asti doc Superiore. In 2014 the subzone received its own appellation.
"La Giulia" is made from the oldest Cascina Lana’s grapevine that add to the wine elegance, intensity and balance.
Giulia is the Antonino Baldizzone’s mother name.
The wine is aging into French oak tonneaux for 14/16 months: the color is deep ruby red, tending towards garnet with age. Intense, characteristic, ethereal aroma. Dry, full-bodied, harmonious and rounded flavour.
