Description
Ripasso doc "Effimero" comes from the best selection of Valpolicella native grape varieties: Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella.
The wine is produced with the famous second fermentation of Valpolicella Superiore with Amarone pomace. The process elevates the complexity of the wine into a rich, flavorsome, full-body red wine.
After fermentation, the wine undergoes 2 years aging in oak Allier barrels of 500lt. An additional year in the bottle is necessary to complete the refinement.
Ripasso doc "Effimero" is a rich and elegant wine, with fruity and fresh spiced notes at the nose. The palate is complex with notes of cherries and red berries, velvety, and a succulent finishing.
This wine is open to a large number of food pairings, including first pasta and rice dishes. The best pairings are red and white meat (poultry, beef, game). Grilled and bbq meats. Medium aged cheeses. This wine can be stored for several years in the cellar (5 to 8 years).
