ROERO DOCG "Pian della Rovere"
Description
Our selection of older vineyards with better exposure. After a long maceration on the skins of about 20/25 days, the wine finishes its vinification in steel tanks and then is aged in large oak barrels (Tonneax) for 12 months.
Fresh and fruity, notes of over-ripe fruit emerge with pleasant
vanilla sensations at the end. Despite aging and being placed in wood, it maintains the characteristic aromas of the vine on the nose.
Taste:
With a clear, frank and at the same time elegant flavour, it has a pleasantly persistent and velvety intensity in the mouth. Important and very varietal tannin from Nebbiolo. An austere wine with great body and great structure. It maintains an unexpected freshness even after aging
Food pairings:
It is warm with good structure, important and very typical tannins which goes well with well-matured cheeses, developing its qualities to the fullest with important meat-based dishes (game and roasts) and equally important first courses.
