Description

A wonderful combination of Merlot, red grape variety native to South West of France, whose name comes from the fondness that the blackbird has for berries, and Carmenère, Bordeaux varieties that arrived in the Northeast of Italy in the 800s. These two varieties have been cleverly combined to give this wine an intense color and strong personality. The two varieties that Bruno Zago wanted to use in the wine that bears his name are to be found on our property in the town of Istrana.

Il Merlot, vitigno a bacca rossa originario del Sud Ovest della Francia, il cui nome deriva dalla predilezione che ha il merlo per le sue bacche, ed il Carmenère, varietà bordolese giunta nell’800 nel Nord-Est italiano, sono stati sapientemente uniti in questo vino dal colore intenso e dalla spiccata personalità.
Due vitigni che Bruno Zago ha voluto nobilitare in questo vino che porta il suo nome e che vengono coltivati nel vigneto di proprietà nel comune di Istrana.
