Description
In 2018, Bodegas Canopy launched Ganadero Blanco, a young, unaged wine that is 90% Macabeo, 5% White Grenache and 5% Verdejo. This elegant and complex white wine, with a strong personality and character, is made with grapes from 25-year-old vines that thrive at an altitude of 400 meters in Camarena (Toledo). Its 5,000 bottles distill the philosophy of this winery, which practices sustainable winegrowing involving minimal intervention. This lets the sandy soils fully express themselves and unleash the power and uniqueness of this new wine. In the spirit of challenging the status quo—as is Bodegas Canopy's wont—, its striking label stands out. This time around, Ganadero Blanco pays tribute to the role of women in the world of wine. Straw yellow color, clear and bright. Floral and grassy notes complemented by white fruits, fennel, strawberry and peach fill the nose. In the mouth, it's broad and fluid and surprisingly reminiscent of pineapple and flinty mineral notes.
