Description
Roccolo dei Carpini is impossible to be produced every year, we need particular weather conditions, which manifest on average once every 6-8 years. The vineyard, named after my daughter Camilla, is conceived as a natural barrier between the woods and the other vineyards, because this varietal has slower maturation and is unpleasant for the wildlife inhabiting the territory. In the vintages we happen to have a very long and hot summer trespassing into the autumn, we have the opportunity to reach extreme maturations, essential condition we research to give birth to this wine.
Tasting this wine makes us immediately understand how powerful yet elegant this wine can be, complex yet pleasing. With integer and strong fruity scents, the warmth of this wine is easily perceivable togheter with a whirl of balsamic sensation, earth, grass, bark and cinchona. The wine I gladly drink to surpise friends, wine lovers and even fellow winemakers.
