Description

The Sangiovese grapes that go into "Cancello Rosso" Chianti Classico Gran Selezione come from the oldest and the best vineyard of Aiola, called "Cancello Rosso" - the Red Gate. We produce only 2500 bottles of this wine in the best years, and every single bottle brings you the heat of Tuscan summers, the aromas of Mediterranean herbs and the sweetness of ripe cherries. 

In the glass the wine shows a deep ruby-red color with garnet reflections. On the nose you feel dark succulent fruit, an impression of
sweetness balanced by savoury herbs and spices. This full-bodied, chewy well structured wine offers an exquisite balance of fruits and the
classic bitter almond finish, velvety tannins and a long aftertaste. 

You can pair it with a vast variety of meat and poultry dishes, stews, salami and aged cheese, and, why not, chocolate!
