Description
This elegant dry red wine shows a bright red ruby colour in the glass. On the nose you can find blueberry, blackberry and red forest berries, ripe cherries and hints of sweet spices. The palate is silky and spicy, with hints of smoke and a long harmonious aftertaste. Aiola Riserva is an ideal pairing for a steak (in particular, the traditional bistecca fiorentina), meat stews, lamb chops and aged cheese.
Made from 90% Sangiovese grapes and 5% respectively of Merlot and Colorino, after 20 days of maceration at at 28°C in stainless steel tanks, the wine then spends 24 months in large oak barrels and tonneaux. After bottling, another 3- 6 months ensure a beautiful aromatic profile and a memorable silky taste.
