Description
It is the maximum expression of the tempranillo variety of very old vines. The vineyards are over 80 years old. It is a wild land, very poor in a hidden area of vine stocks. The fruit they give is scarce.
Grape 100% Tinta Fina. Vines in glass with very low yields.
Terrain: Calcareous rock at shallow depth and clay to the surface. Controlled vineyard in La Aguilera (Burgos). Plot more than 80 years old.
Harvested by hand and collected in small boxes of 15 kg. De-stemmed without squeezing. Made in a small stainless steel tank. Fermentation with autoctonone yeasts. Malolactic fermentation in barrel.
16 months of new French oak barrels.
Of slow chromatic evolution and intense layering, its tones vary from garnet cherry red to ruby red.
Intense and elegant. Presents deep aromas of over-ripe, sugared fruit, combined with others such as leather, musks, minerals and balsams.
