Bianco di Bisenzio Grechetto IGT Umbria
Description
Though widely believed to have originally come from Greece, Grechetto has been growing now for so long in Umbria its now considered an indigenous variety.
Vinification:Hand harvested. Destemmed, pressed temperature-controlled fermentation at 15°C for between 15-20 days. Both varieties are vinified and matured separately in stainless steel for 5-6 months before blending. Further 2 months in bottle before release.
Taste and flavour profile:Straw yellow colour with golden reflections on the nose hints of citrus and tropical fruits accompanied by floral notes of chamomile. In the mouth it has a soft entry and closes with a savoury vein that lengthens the taste.
