VIGNAleNICCHIE Prephilloxera Tempranillo
Description
VIGNA le NICCHIE: Again Tuscan dialect is used to name this wine.
With “Nicchie” We want to point the attention to the immense quantity of fossil shells in our soil as it was the bottom of the sea of 3 millions of years ago: infact “Nicchie” means “Shells”.
After the discovery of old un-grafted vines prephilloxera of a curious variety,
Leonardo started to do micro-vinifications…...and the result was very interesting !!!! Tempranillo is nowhere in Italy , Weare the unique winery to hold this incredible vine presence!
And he decided to create a wine out of the norm: with depth, pulp, concentration, and something unique: 4 weeks of drying grapes and long maturation in wood.
