Description
Close to Beaune, Aloxe-Corton and Savigny-lès-Beaune, Chorey-lès-Beaune stretches at the foot of the Côte. An excellent introductory key to AOC Village Burgundy wines. They are indeed accessible and generous bottles. The AOC Chorey les Beaune was created in 1970.
This light and supple red wine, moderately tannic but rich in character, presents itself in a rather lively color, often dark purple with purplish reflections. On the nose, dominate the small red fruits (raspberry, morello cherry) and black (blackberries) enhanced with notes of liquorice and undergrowth. Older, it evolves on strawberry jam, gingerbread, animal and leather. Well structured, the tannins are present and elegant.
This wine goes very well with roast poultry, meat or poultry risottos, pizzas and boiled beef. Also very suitable for Tex Mex cuisine or tabbouleh or cold cuts.
