Description
The village of Meursault is located in the heart of the Côte de Beaune, renowned for its great whites. With its hard Comblanchien limestone soil, we find here what Chardonnay does best in Côte de Beaune! These excellent vineyards were developed by the monks of Cîteaux in 1098. The Controlled Designation of Origin was established in 1937.
The Meursault shows a gold-green color, limpid and brilliant. Its bouquet evokes the ripe grape. In its youth: grilled almonds and hazelnuts in a vegetal and floral environment as well as mineral notes. Butter, honey, citrus fruits also strain the nose. On the palate, a rich and fat wine, the balance between smooth and freshness. Long, structured, Meursault needs maturity. It is a great white guard.
Its aromatic power and exceptional balance enhance white meats and noble fish (fine pieces of veal or poultry in white sauce) or grilled crustaceans such as prawns or lobster. It matches perfectly with blue cheeses and foie gras.
