Auxey Duresses Premier Cru "Les Duresses"
Description
Nestled away from the two famous villages of Volnay and Meursault, the vineyard covers only 170 ha, including 130 ha for red wines.
This appellation of Côte de Beaune is not well-known but its specific terroirs offer some of the most interesting value for money in Burgundy!
The vineyard, on very stony, marl-limestone soils, faces east and south-east on steep slopes at an average altitude of 250 meters.
The color isruby and shiny. The bouquet is rich with small black fruits (blackcurrant, blackberry, blueberry) and floral aromas (peony). On the palate, this wine presents a lot of finesse and suppleness, it is balanced and fleshy.
It is the ideal partner for fine flesh and white meats. Its attack is supple, with notes of red and black fruits. This wine is perfect for cured hams and cold meats, roasted veal and pork, kebabs, rabbit, but also pasta with herbs or poultry risottos. Grilled fish can also be seduced.
