Description
Vintage: 2018 was quite hot and dry and therefore brought us a little more alcohol due to the extensive rays of sunshine, also a fantastic fruit and very discreet acidity.
Vines: 100 % Grauer Burgunder
Region: Guntersblum sandy Loess
Wein expansion: 13 year old vines
Vineyards: early selected harvesting by hand. 24 hours of mash life and spontaneous fermentation in 500 liter oak barrels toasted from the inside. With the selection of barrels, we chose one third of first occupancy and two thirds of second occupancy. Storage on the full yeast with weekly stirring of the yeast until February, then whole yeast storage without stirring until September.
Description: A delicate enamel, slight bitter notes of toasted bread with butter and caramel
Drinkung Maturity: The wine was bottled in September 2019 and has ample potential for storage due to its expansion in the wooden barrel. Still quite young and can be enjoyed from 2019, and still has potential to mature through to 2024
